I am sorry to hear this. As it is your site, I can only acknowledge your decision. However I most strongly disagree that there were any valid arguments; rather mostly only those who said "I don't like it" very loudly. And I would further note that, contrary to your statement, you do not adhere to the game, having implemented numerous home rules, of which this would have been one more.
I don't see that the only argument presented here are: "I don't like it" said very loudly. the only rules we don't have here to stay with the original game are lewis gun and the possibility to choose the target to fire at. (altitude and spin came from the second version of the game, but are better implemented in the canvas eagles rules) a great improvment was the brust which is a first step in order to have the lewis gun. for the target choice, it will lead to a slower game (1 more turn to choose the target as in the tailing phase). in my opinion the "house rule" implemented here are only due to the platform used (the web) just to have a game that can be played. we are not in the same room in the same moment at the end.
Always in my opinion, level the fuel will lead to a significant change in the game mechanics where fuel is a significant element (a weakness for some, a strength for others) to take care when we play. all the allied runners will be penalized to much and will loose the element that balance the german dancer.
I hope this can be a valid argument for you. ciao Francesco aka sbadranga |
