| | Message text take the se5a vs albatross d.va scenario. se5a more fuel, more strenght, less maneuvres; albatross less fuel, less strenght, more manouvres. one thing that make this scenario balanced is fuel. and even if the se5a has more fuel this scenario end up with the albatross with more fuel left (about 5 to 10 point). if you give albatross more fuel, there is far less chanche for the se5a to win.
fuel in this game, in my opinion, is not only a "time limit", but also a way to balance the weak and strenght of the planes.
as i proposed elsewhere, for the fokker dr1 and for the camel (far more weak then they are for real) is is better to use the stability rule: only C stability can turn left one turn and right in the following turn. while others must perform a straight between the two turns. this will balance the less fuel and the less firepower for these planes.
