Dear pilots,
I'm evaluating the idea, proposed many time in the forum, to give to all planes the same amount of fuel.
Now the question is: how much fuel ?
I'm thinking about adding a combo box in the creation page, where you can choose the starting fuel, with the following options:
default (as it is now)
30 gallons
40 gallons
50 gallons
Does it make sense ?
NickYes, that makes a LOT of sense. Nick, that would be GREAT! Good idea. My vote is resounding YES. I think that 40 and 50 fuel points would be great, but as a choice of three, I would think that a:
default (as it is now)
40 gallons <- fuel points
50 gallons <- fuel points
60 gallons <- fuel points
Would be better though. 60 fuel points for those wanting for longer games, 50 for average game length, and 40 for shorter games. 30 seems a bit to little after having flown the Fokkers with 37 fuel points so many times. But some players might want a very short game in the number of turns played so maybe a:
default (as it is now)
30 gallons <- fuel points
40 gallons <- fuel points
50 gallons <- fuel points
60 gallons <- fuel points
could give the players more choices. On the average, most planes have 45 fuel points
I know for sure that most of the game if not all the games I would set up would have either 40 or 50 fuel points selected. But I can see for games that maybe I think could last more turns a 60 fuel point might be good.
Just my $0.02 input

I say leave it alone. Part of the strategy is learning your planes and how to fly them. All planes are not created equal so you have to fly to your strengths.
