Hi folks,
some of the games drag out so long and boring because one player wouldn't give up a ship because he or she doesn't want to loose points by surrendering.
That's understandable. But these endless games are a pain. Why shouldn't a player keep his points because he surrenders? That would make a lot of things much easier.
And another one: What are the points for anyway?
load the cannons,

Patience, I have a game that's been going since last March.
I've never been bothered by people
not surrendering, I have been bothered by people surrendering.
Try fighting a hard battle and have a ship surrender the move before you sink them. You don't get any points for your efforts.
The points are used to determine the winner. A ship surrendering can win the game by denying points to the other team.
I just lost Game 10455, in which michzeidler was involved. This may be one of the games to which he refers, by not surrendering. After losing all of my rigging, he finally killed my last crew.
If he thinks I'm gonna surrender, he can kiss my furry ass. Maybe it's my stubborn Irish butt, but if you want to kill me, you're gonna have to work for it... Micha, congratulations for a good game, however. , and sorry to inconvenience you. We will meet again! I think we already are, come to think of it!
So many games, so little time....
