Hi folks,
some of the games drag out so long and boring because one player wouldn't give up a ship because he or she doesn't want to loose points by surrendering.
That's understandable. But these endless games are a pain. Why shouldn't a player keep his points because he surrenders? That would make a lot of things much easier.
And another one: What are the points for anyway?
load the cannons,

Patience, I have a game that's been going since last March.
I've never been bothered by people
not surrendering, I have been bothered by people surrendering.
Try fighting a hard battle and have a ship surrender the move before you sink them. You don't get any points for your efforts.
The points are used to determine the winner. A ship surrendering can win the game by denying points to the other team.
Well, that's exactly the point we are talking about here. That needs to change. The point system is flawed.
I have two games on now where the other ships cannot even fire back and it's a pain for both players to just hit the "move ships" button. In both cases, the points do not determine the winner. Not any more, that is, because there is no way for the other players to get close to my score.
