| Message text Actually PBas, Avalon Hill released a game of Jutland decades ago. It was played on a hex grid to determine initial contact positions and also disposition of forces at the time of contact. The actual battle was then played on a large table top or floor with movement determined by a ruler, same with gunnery ranges. Hits were determined by a table which accounted for a number of factors including plunging fire if I remember correctly. It was easily adapted to play with miniatures as well. Great game, I still have a copy of it myself and we still drag it out from time to time, you should look it up. |
