i will be happy to throw my two cents opinion also

if we are to be spending any time tinkering with the game i would far prefer to see the implementation of the additional sailing rules, wind directions, ammunition and all the other things that are needed to complete the game

the scoring of points is pretty much immaterial except for bragging and i dont think making changes in the score is really any kind of an improvement

as Johnny made the statement...it dont really matter how much damage you score on your enemy it is only the achievement of the strategic or tactical objectives that count...Germany scored more points at Jutland in World War One, but they lost the battle as the blocade remained in place...

"The High Seas Fleet has assaulted her jailer but she is still in jail..."

"The Germans cry aloud: "We've won!"
But yet it seems a curious view
That they are conquerors who run,
They the vanquished who pursue"

Yeah, the additional candy (wind, ammo, etc) would certainly be sweet.

Interesting bringing Jutland into this mix. Can you imagine a multi-player game that large, using rules based on a game system like this one? Working on something like that would put me in a rubber room!
