I think that the winners should be awarded only with the difference of points between the winning side and the losing one. This could encourage to more tactical thinking and acting in this game. What do you think?

My only thought is points don't mean anything, only winning does.

So, wouldn't care if this happened either way I guess.

A win, is a win, is a win, ... in sports. In navel warfare, 144 to 143 would be a draw.

It is hard to make scoring statistic comparisons in WSIM. Multi player games are a different animal than one on one games. Similarly, big scenarios are much different than single ship encounters.

It would take half a dozen scoring statistics to come up with a reasonable solution that would please everyone.

I'm more like Mark on this: a win is a win.

Your thoughts to give the winner only the winning difference I believe is pointless. At least the loser can take some satisfaction in whatever achievements they've gained.

As a practical matter, which is more important, think IIABDFWI---If It Ain't Broke, Dont' Fool (or your favorite epithet here) With It! We just went through one scoring fiasco, and don't need another. Let it be!
