I believe the rule that prevents one from firing on a surrendered ship was an attempt to mirror the real-world practice of not firing on ships that surrender, regardless why or how they "struck" their colours.
Well, the way I look at it, if it SURRENDERED by immobility to you, it's your ship, so.... Why would you want to fire on it! If you send any crew to it, it's yours, and, double points. |
