That's all fine, but sticking to the boring unfair WSIM original games is the wrong strategy, imho.
I want to play a strategy game and not relive the 80s.

A scenario, even though it might be historical, which is unbalanced is boring.
Switching sides is only good to make the boredom fair. Everybody gets a win and a loss. Great.
I bet you:
Check the players who like to play the unbearable 4:3 scenario. Those are the ones who will sign up for the new Arbuthnot - but they won't switch sides.
I really like the setup of this scenario but this is a case where playing by the book is a dead end.
The other Arbuthnot scenario might have nonsense values, but it's playable.

As I said, goal number 1 is to re-create WS&IM as it was, so we will have definitely have the "boring unfair" original scenarios (as you call them

) for those who want to play them here online.
However, we ALSO want many good balanced scenarios to play with, so we will *also* create balanced ones, either by making "balanced versions" of the original ones or by making brand new ones.
These are not conflicting goals as we can easily have both things
