I will say, IMHO, the tourney has actually gone amazingly well, credit to those running it. I am surprised we have not had a forfeit or anything like that. That's a LOT of players. And it's summer.
To add to Pbass comments - PLAYERS also have a role here. If a team captain is not aware you the player is going on a trip or something, then, you put them in a very bad position. Keep them up to date. If you are not going to be able to play any more for some reason, be honest, don't just go away.
