Because this analogy does not hold. A/c statistics make sense because they discriminate between the various designs. According to some, including me, fuel boxes do not, because they do not reflect a trait (patrol endurance) that is useful in a dogfight. Wing loading and engine power do, as they are responsible of energy loss and energy gain. However, they are not implemented as they should have, but no one is complaining as they would be messy to consistently implement.
