Meant to write - moved from honor thread.
Thought we should do this. Last night, I was able to finish Hell's Angels. Despite some really absurd scenes, this movie has the best WWI flight action every filmed or made. If there is another one with more action, I'd like to know the title.
The flight scenes don't come across as dated at all. Frankly, I was very impressed with the special effects given the time this movie was made. At the time it was made, it had been the most expensive film made to date.
To see that many vintage aircraft in the air was just great. The camera work was excellent.
Again, and I don't want to give away any spoilers, there are some REALLY absurd parts of the film. The aerial cameral work and advanced special effects given the time it was made, make up for this. This is a hard to find movie but you owe it to yourself to try to find a copy.
