Idea: make the turns between possible changes random, like the wind!
That works too.
Also, the wind can't change to a completely opposite direction (right BlueDragon?). According to the rules, it can turn 120 degrees (two hex sides) from, say, east to NW, but not east to west. And it can only go up or down in speed one step at a time.
Hmm, I could swear it completely reversed direction on me in a couple games. It sure screwed up my strategy completely a couple of times.
In real life, the wind just isn't that variable. Except for in a passing squall, most of the time it's coming from the same general direction for hours at a time.
I like the variability of the wind. I agree it adds another dimension to the game. It just changes too much, isn't realistic, and detracts from the game as it is now. |
