Message text Thanks Alex, I am being destroyed even as you read this. I will attempt to take some of them with my with to Davy Jones Locker! My plan was to stay upwind and force them to approach in small groups, which worked beautifully until I cleared the rigging from the Pelayo and realize what was happening. I thought the Royal George was unlucky, attracting so many shots, but now I know. Of course, my ships concentrated on a 2nd Class Ship of the Line and his concentrated on my "dreadnought". The fire did shift a few times but that was because he was adding ships to his line. For many turns I had 3 or more ships firing at him than he had at me, and now one turn of rake fire and I am way behind, and will probably not be able to recover. I don't mind losing if I haven't read the rules right, but it would be nice, as I said above, if notes regarding the programming were linked to the rules. I would have used a completely different tactic if I had known this when I developed my battle plan. That being said, I am still having fun and I appreciate the hard work of all of those who have worked on this website. |
