Lot of people said it was unrealistic a riggingless ship to surrender... maybe... but let's take a little look at realism...
1 - Riggingless ships turns as fast as rigged ones... mmmm... seems quite strange... where do they find the "power" to turn ? Sometimes they dropped an anchor (hope the word is right!) to pull the ship and force a turn... but in mid ocean too ??? (maybe a scenario could allow this, but....)
2 - The "support" a ship received from a friendly ship of greater or equal class seems a bit ... strange.... at least for a wargamer...
Just think: imagine 5 infantry regiments deployed together... if one of them is "broken" by enemy fire... it can get a "psycological help" from nearby friendly regiments holding the ground around it... perfectly logical!
...but what if ALL the regiments are broken ??? where do they find such a help ? Who is the soldier who feels "better" when all around him his comrades are scared and running for cover ???
...well... our new rule states just that... if four riggingless ships (virtually helpless and looking for help) are within 10 hexes... they help each other to stay and fight!!!
This is by far a worst rule !
Maybe the rule state so... but I strongly suggest to correct the rule, and allow "psychological help" only from 10 hexes near, friendly ships of equal or better class "able to manouver" .
...my two cents... as usual... (collect them all... it's a step toward a billion! )
