Is it my imagination or is the rake bonus for high gun ships too large?
The +5 bonus is monstrous even at extreme range (and it's pretty easy to get a rake at extreme range).
I looked at my version of WS&IM and the rake bonus is +1 across the board regardless of the number of guns. Do I have an older/newer version of the rules than what we're playing or is this a bug?
I too think that the rake bonus is way out at long range.
