I've only recently discovered this site and I have never played Wooden Ships & Iron Men. I'm also very new at tabletop wargaming, though I have played wargames on the PC since the 90's.

Being a complete novice, I would like to know the best way to learn WS&IM without messing up someone's game.

Are there beginner friendly games from time to time?
