If this is true, then I would recommend changing the language used in the victory conditions to clarify this. In the victory conditions section the word "destroyed" is used numerous times as in "shot down". A plane that flies off the map without honor is not counted on the map, but it isn't shot down, or destroyed, as no one scores league points when it exits and it's pilot doesn't lose a league point for leaving in such a way.
I have no problem with the scoring working that way, I simply think it should be made more clear, because as written, that is not how most native speakers would interpret it I believe.
