I'm missing something here. It's all relative, based on your defined frame of reference. Whether on a ship, a bus, a train, standing outside, etc., if you are looking forward, the left side is to your left, and if you are looking back, the "left side" is to your right. On a ship, port and starboard are only relevant if you know where you are in relation to the bow (on the stern looking toward the bow is the defined frame of reference). |
