As far as starboard and port, was it still starboard and larboard at this time? Port replaced larboard at some point since it was so confusing. If you are going to use starboard and port, I'd recommend putting it on the ship diagram that shows the speed in the various aspects, since alot of people don't think in those terms and may not understand. I've heard recently that "starboard and port" are being phased out in alot of nautical areas in favor of "left and right" simply because alot of people don't know what they are.
