Nice idea. Our idea is the following one:
Statistics will look this way: You will have
number of games won by game type (Captian, Commander and Admiral) on different pages. Average and total points scored by game type Average and total Tons of sunked ships by game type.
And, maybe, the same statistics for each scenario.
Which one do you prefer ? Other ideas ?

Well, the stats per scenario is interesting..but it may get too complicated as you might make new scenarios in the future, which means a bigger table to display each time.
Better is to find an honest denominator.
Maybe you can condense it with per person an average of all concluded games per game (capt/comm/adm) your score (points or tonnage) divided by your start capacity (points or tonnage).
So as a captain starting with a 10 points ship and sinking 2 ships of 10 and 15 points leads to a game result of 25/10 = 2,5 which is better than being an admiral and starting with 6 ships totalling 100 points and sinking 4 ships of 70 points (70/100 = 0,70).
The downfall is that an admiral rarely scores more than 1.0 whereas a captain might (multiplayer scenario) score higher more easily.
And also there must be a way to tell the difference between an admiral winning with only 1 ship left or one with 5 ships left.
So; then we must include the own losses of ships in terms of hull percentage;
Per game: score = Top/Bottom
Top = (Sigma(ni x Pi) - Sigma(nj x Pj) - Sigma (nk x (hull_left/hull_intact) x Pk)
Bottom = ( Sigma (nl x Pl )
Sigma is the summation ni is the number of killed opponent ships Pi is the points/tonnage per opponent ship nj is the number of own ships that were lost Pj is the points per lost ship nk is the number of own ship(s) still afloat Pk is the points of the own ships still afloat hull_left is what is left of the hull hull_intact is the hull intact value. nl is the number of ship(s) that you started the confrontation Pl is the points of the ship(s) you started the confrontation with.
This would be a good general overall scoring system.
I saw somewhere the possibility to enter an enemy ship (advanced rules). I guess that would mean an addition in the Top (opponent lost that ship 100% and you gained a percentage of this ship (hull_left) which is a bonus!).
