Close. The ship within 10 hexes has to be the same or a larger class as the raked ship. And I believe SOL 1 and 2 count as different classes for that. I don't see that game in the list, but that could be the problem.
Must have to be a larger class. There is an equal size class nearby and that didn't protect.
As for finding the game. Go to any game, substitute the game number in the address and go.

i was able to have a look at the game...and i expect the problem you had was that both of your ships were raked by 1st rates...in the case of your own first rate...it was a smaller ship (tonnage and point value wise) than the raking ship
