There seems to be a lot of confusion about why ships don't shoot some time. I suspect this really just comes down to too many penalties driving the combat chart below 0.
Is it possible to show a ship’s combat calculations in the activity box even if the result is less than 0? This could be similar to what is done in Blue Max.
For example:
Befford targeted Conquerant's Rigging. Hdt:-1 (Guns:0, Crew:-1) No shot taken. |
