Perhaps this isn't about laws of deviation, but about programming? Have you ever wondered why some things happen when using computers - it is the ghosts in the machine.
As someone said, we have just done the study, reported our findings and have drawn no conclusions other than stating that my personal statistics in Red Baron have improved significantly since I topped the ratings.
What you do now is up to you, but we now have a strategy when playing certain players that have a better ranking than we do.
