Sorry to disagree, Tornade, but this would add an enormous worth to the luck of a mediocre pilot that scores a "Pilot killed!" or "Plane EXPLODES!" with his /her first shot.
The scoring of each firing action is the only true test of a pilot ability. This was purposely done for tournaments.
