If you ended in the same hex, it means that you moved much faster than your opponent, so be happy that he hasn't shoot you down! When you are in the same hex, the faster is the one that is ahead. Think it over next time!
I was one or two hexes back each time. Sorry I left that out... But the best shot might not be the best tactical shot. If you have been pounding the tail of Plane “A” then shooting at plane “B” looses you the "shot at last turn" bonus next turn. Not to mention loss bullets in Plane “A” too.
