Message text If I'm correct, I was one of the 2 pilots involved in the glider fight. We did not circle around just for the fun of it and if you read our comments you'll see we were getting bored. We did not circle around for the points, because I do not care about points. We did circle around because we had some fuel left and just waited for a mistake from the opponent. It is true that an error from my opponent, knowing his abilities, was very unlikely, but it has happened before.
I'm the one who first proposed in the forum to crash/land any plane without any engine or fuel left after RND(5) turns. However, the rules seem to consider that a dead engine still enables you to fly. And since the webmasters are sticking to the rules, then we have to wait until we are short of fuel.
We could also try to exit, but this implies sometimes to give a one shot opportunity to your opponent, which you want to avoid.
So, you finished second of the league. This is far better than what I achieved, so congrats. We all already know that you are a valuable opponent. So you do not really need to win a league to become famous, do you?
Just start up a new league and let's have fun
