If they hadn't tried to make it out to be history, it would have been an adequate "American Boys Make Good in France" B movie. There were, however, so many technical errors (even excluding the sometimes silly flight scenes), that at times it was painful to watch. But, if one realizes ahead of time that it is 95% Hollywood and at most 5% history, then it is worth the time to watch it.
