Such addons are optional, so you should be aware if you had them running. Such addons are not for the faint of heart, as they can completely disable websites unless proper permissions are granted.
Usually, such addons have a drop down menu or icon you can click on to review and grant permission to individual elements or parts of a particular web page. You can normally turn each of these on/off rather easily to test the page until you get it working the way you want.
Which browser are you using? Have you made any changes to your software or operating system recently?
