1. Sure, scoring system have some flaws.
But in general, in air combat (World War I in particular) it's possible to return home at damaged plane and claim your victory.
2. As for timeout, I'm actively advocating short timeouts, 1 minute or 5 minutes at least.
With some fair adjustments (automove time = wait time and button to postpone game for 24 hours)
