Note on the score that your team has already received double points for the surrender. If you capture her, you (personally) will receive the double points, but that won't change the overall score. Captured ships are notoriously hard to do anything with because of the penalty for using one, and the ship that captures her will have an automatic crew loss penalty. Still, an undamaged ship might be worth it. And kind of a crappy thing to do to your teammates.
More of a concern that one of the opposition might use it against us. Edward, I believe a surrendered ship (where the player chose the "I surrender" option) is COMPLETELY out of play. No one can board her or use her. She is merely a dead hulk, left to block gunnery. Derek Derek, as I said in my first post, the ship is not completely out of play, it can be captured by the opposition. Until then, yes, it's "out of play" because team-mates of the surrendered player cannot use it and the ship will just sit there surrendered and drifting.
Oh, okay. So just transfer in enough crew to suppress those on board and she is yours? |
