July 10th 2019: Downtime for Battery Replacement
Tonight, 7/10, around 9PM EST or so I'll be bringing down the system to replace the batteries in the UPS. Shouldn't take too long, but it all depends on the state of the existing batteries. I've seen these swell up making it hard to remove them. Hopefully none are leaking. No more than an hour, barring any unforeseen problems.
Thank you everyone who donated recently to help cover the cost. I really appreciate it!

July 2nd 2019: Power Issues
We had a power failure a few nights ago. I was very surprised when my rather large battery backup died after only about 15 minutes. It's a APC 3000 RMS XL for those that care and it should have lasted well over an hour or two with the load I have on it. After running a few diagnostics, it turns out that it's time for a new set of batteries.
I've already ordered the new set and enclosure from Amazon. If you were thinking about making a donation, now is as good a time as any.
