| Message text Sorry for taking so long, and I've only checked the rules -- I'm still looking at the newbie guide, but wanted to get these out there.
Also, I was wondering... will the league scoring rules be updated for WSIM?
Here's what I found:
Simplified rules ================
1) "Regardless of its movement allowance, a ship may always turn once per turn." Is that true in simplified? If not, use the Basic language (it's right there).
2) "A ship which has a movement allowance of 0 may still turn in place 60 degrees." EXCEPTION: dismasted ships (?)
3) Rigging hits: "but it can turn once each turn." Exception for dismasted ships here too?
BASIC rules ===========
1) "In all other cases that might occur, the largest ship (measured by tonnage) wins the hex. Tonnage is shown on the bottom of the ship chart (see above)." This is random now.
2) "Note that in rare situations it is possible to receive points for causing more than one type of surrender. A ship which loses her crew is worth her full point value, but can still be fired upon. That same ship might strike later, again awarding her full point value to those in the final shot."
Is that still true?
3) "Single ship scenarios end when one ship surrenders or sinks." No sinking (yet).
BOTH ====
1) Use the new image for struck ships. I can find examples if you need a specific situation.
2) "If the closest ship happens to be friendly, the field of fire is blocked " Should be "friendly or surrendered"...
3) "When all crew squares on a ship are lost, the ship cannot move or fire and surrenders immediately Whoever fired at it receives points accordingly."
Does it surrender? I thought now it's just crewless.
4) Gun hits: say something about caronnades destroyed first?
5) "The points for a ship forced to strike are split evently" should be "evenly". |
