Dear all,

Thank you very much, enjoy the game!

Rinahe

Ahh, Senor Hernandez,

On behalf of myself, and my fellow English-speaking ancestors from the "Perfidious Albion" to which you refer, I must render my profound gratitude for your recognition of the accomplishments and achievements of our worldwide English-speaking peoples. Such recognition is sometimes lacking in our friends and allies. Muchas Gracias! That's many thanks, in English, but I suspect that, like most of the world, you are most familiar with our language.

Unfortunately, in your effusive praise you failed to recognize two important facts:

1). This is a game. It is not reality, and it is certainly not history. Only the flavor and tenor of the game is set in a historical naval context, and as such WSIM can best be classified as a fantasy historical simulation. It is a lot of fun, however.

2). I am certain that the term "artistic license" is translatable into Espanol. That means that as the author of the scenario I can not only name the ships as I see fit, but also spell them. I could have named S. Trinidad the Nelson. That would probably have resulted in a severe catatonic fit to your carefully constructed fantasy world.

Personally, if Alex wishes to change the spelling, I have no problem, and give my "permission" as such. I have a better idea: as the author, I want her named ¡Los Santos Alejandro y Nicolás!, in honor of our illustrious webmasters. !!!

What about Romolo and Remo ? Unfortunately during 19th century Italy was not so splendid as both Spain and England... but think 2000 years ago!
