Correct it's TONS with an exception.
If one ships wants to enter while moving straight has the precedence over one that wants to enter making a turn (with her stern). ciao Ale
And will that exception be noted in the on-line rules at some point?
No unluckly the site rules are very poor...
I wonder if someone of you would like to contribute with a new correct version.
We personally do not have the time to improve that area.... and I guess you might agree on our priorities, that are bugs, new developments (think for example to the leagues and the new versions of WSIM). We are also working for a new platform that when ready (one year??) will allow other programmers to help us with their original games. This is the first time we write this information in the forum because we are still very far from the target (we are making high level design).
If somebody volunteer I will be very glad to support him or her

ciao Alex
I would think that your all's effort to support such a rewrite would be just as time consuming for you as doing the rewrite itself.
Actually, I don't agree with the priorities. Development, debugging, etc. are all fine and very important; but so is proper documentation, and most especially user documentation.
I've worked on a number of rules systems, and would be willing to help, noting;
1) English only.
2) My copy of WSIM was loaned to someone years ago, and never came back. I'm working on borrowing a copy.
3) Of what would the "support" consist?
Thank you for asking. The idea could be to rewrite, improve or fix the rules to make newbie's life easier when they approach this game for the first time. As of today the rules are here:
We could decide to radically change the page to make it easier and nicer. We should rethink it with the web in mind. Also we could have a link to the original game rules and three links to this web site game rules. 3? Yes. At the moment we only have one version of the game, but sooner or later, as you have read in other threads we will have two more version. One easier, this current version and one harder and more complete.
I guess that if we find here in the forum a couple of guys willing to help we could work off line via email and google documents.... But the most important rule is that we must amuse ourselves. It's better not to start this task if we are unsure it will be funny!
