A friend and I just finished three games of Ambuscade vs Baionaise. In about 20 turns in which both vessels fired, the dice rolls for Baionaise were above those for Ambuscade in all but two turns (one of these was a tie, and in the other Baionaise rolled higher).
What are the odds of that happening? (Pretty poor ... for those who need an answer.)
Hmm, interesting. In playing 300+ games, I have not noticed that. Here and there, I did feel like I was getting annihilated on the rolls, never kept a close eye on it. For the most part, I have not felt this way, but, in a few games I do recall I did.
Your message said imprecise terms such as "in about 20 turns...". I would suggest you keep a log with exact details, perhaps you are right, but, I would think it would take an exact log to prove it. Data is a good thing. If you had a log showing the rolls for 20 turns for each ship, and, you only outrolled on 1 turn, I would say the odds are impossible. But, an exact log would be useful.
Just my suggestion, as a programmer.
