| | Message text Has anyone else noticed a problem with the way ships fire?
I have noticed several times, but recently with much greater frequency (at least 3 or 4 times in the last few games I have played) my ships are not always firing. That is, they are not firing despite being in good (sometimes perfect raking) position, with the correct broadsides loaded and with no intervening friendlies.
I should qualify that - it appears that they are not firing. No record of them doing so appears in my game summary. The ship status icons show the offending broadside empty - ie: fired off, which it would do if (as is mainly the case), the broadside has been fired the round before as well.
There appears to be two possibilities; one is that they are firing, but just not showing as doing so in the game summary (ie: damage is being dealt to the target, but just not showing on my screen - I have never been able to remember the exact state of the target on the round prior to the misfire, so I cannot rule this out as an option), or they are in fact actually not firing for some reason.
This only needs to happen once or twice before it starts to have a significant impact on the outcome.
