I agree. I just (unintentionally) cheated Scotireb out of a well deserved victory by surrendering. Very embarassing for me, and not my intention.
A surrendered ship could be worth a small fortune for the victorious crew when it was "purchased" by the Admiralty. A surrendered ship should bring some kind of bonus points!

Ok, maybe I mis-stated. I don't mean surrender as in the opponent intentionally surrendered. What I meant was the ship was forced to surrender as it had no rigging, and I raked it. This scored me ZERO points, not good!
I understand (that never happens in my games).What I hate is fighting a ship for 4 or 5 turns and the player is one hull point away from sinking and he surrenders his ship, I've exausted half my resoures and have nothing to show for it. Surrendered ships should be worth double points and points go to the person or persons that got the last hits.
