I understand (that never happens in my games). What I hate is fighting a ship for 4 or 5 turns and the player is one hull point away from sinking and he surrenders his ship, I've exausted half my resoures and have nothing to show for it. Surrendered ships should be worth double points and points go to the person or persons that got the last hits.
Well, I suppose as long as I remember that, if I am in a close game and I need the points, I will never rake it again either! Problem is the enemy can intentionally allow you to rake them!
But, Yes, I agree totally that surrendered ships HAVE to be worth points, whether due to no rigging and a rake, or, intentional surrender. I too have encountered this many times. And your example just happened in a game, ship was down to 1 hull and surrendered. This needs to change! |
