This has happened to me before. I got 2 gun destroyed chits in the same turn and it only shows 1 gun destroyed under special damages. I think that this is a bug.

Could be either but initially I would tend to agree with 'Bomb's' assessment, when flipping thru multiple games I too have failed to notice the "gun destroyed" chits, some times for multiple turns.
It can be a REALLY rough go when you haven't spotted it & your opponents have
