Just like you have to arbitrarily draw that line somewhere, some plane is going to get screwed in the charts.

I've been playing Blue Max since the first box set. I grew up as an avid aviation fan being an Air Force brat. I also design boardgames and roleplaying games as a hobby. Roll all that up and I have done a lot of research in trying to fix these issues in the game mechanics. My result is a set of maneuver charts for the specific month of the war. I pull them out when we play at conventions or meet up with a Blue Max miniatures group.

In general, the Canvas Eagles charts are a fabulous option for anyone that would want to play this game in a face-to-face IRL setting. All the rules and charts are at the website http://www.eaglesmax.com and all the printable materials you need to make your own chits/tokens. You've got a complete game for free.

If YouPlay.it simply introduces the Canvas Eagles aircraft charts just for the Early War, that's 49 planes, including MANY two-seaters with observer/gunners and the Airco DH2 and other Pushers, AND BOMBERS like the Ilya Muromets with a pilot and three gunners or the Caproni CA3 with two pilots and two gunners.

Imagine having to shoot down something with 12 engine, 40 wing, 36 fuselage, and 10 tail with one forward and two rear facing gunners with those firing arcs.

I think it would revitalize this site and revitalize the players.
