Ogre,
I play mostly "Simplified" rules games now, but from the few "Basic" games I have played, it seems that not much has changed.
Hopefully, I am wrong and someone else can better answer this query.

I also only play the simplified games. Many ploblems with basic and hate the drift rule. No ploblems with simp. games except in league play. Ships don't complete moves, fail to fire and surrender when they shouldn't. Good luck, scotireb.
