If you count sea gulls. It's the Battle of Lake Erie. Very small ships. Not your Gibraltars or Havanas.

I built a watered down "Battle of Ushant", (out of the Game's own set of scenarios), but it was shot down by El Turk. He didn't care for the Brits having Crack crews even though the French have more hull and gun to compensate for their average crews. He felt it was too poorly balanced...
I would argue that you just need a more able French admiral, as the French own the wind.
