I find that retiring when one cant win is almost sour grapes and shows that a person really takes this too seriously.

excluding damages that make not retiring impossible..i.e. left turn only, on border..can only go off map...
What really is frustrating is when a player gets five or six points ahead and then flies off to a corner of a board and everytime you get close to them they fly away to stop you shooting at them. Then when they have no fuel they nip off the board getting a victory.
This has happened so many times, most obviously, in leagues that I'm almost tempted to stop playing in them.
There are a few individuals I could name who frequently do this, but I'm too much of a gentleman to point the finger.
Is this good gaming, gamesmanship or are they sad gits?
