Well said El Turk (Johnny B)

I don't know about global temperatures rising, but global IQs are certainly falling. I find it tough to keep a straight face when I hear David Suzuki preaching to the great unwashed masses about the evils of CO2 and how we (not him) must do away with all of our luxuries, when I look out the window and see blowing snow that has hit for the third time in a week and temperatures down to -30c.
Talk to the average Canadian and they are all FOR global warming.
It is of course incredible that while there is ample CREDITABLE evidence of global cooling, there is none to support global warming as a result of Man's activities on the planet. One is left to wonder who was causing the global warming during the Devonian Epoch when much of Canada was tropical jungle and swamp, or if the Martians are driving less fuel efficeient SUVs and causing the Martian globe to warm.

Global Warming. Its a big lie to seperate the gullible from their dollars.

There are a few small problems with the "Global warning is a lie argument"...

-Essentially everyone that actually knows something about it agrees that it's true, they only argue about how large the effect is.

-If there was no evidence for it, only against it, why did oil companies have to spend billions of dollars to find any counter-arguments and convince people of them?

-Who's making money on it? The only way to make money of global warming is to convince people to buy new, more energy efficient, products. Companies want people to buy new stuff anyway! It's what they make money from!

-Finally, if it's false we're paying a marginal amount of money now (and I do mean marginal) and benefit from a more stable economy in the future. If it's true we're paying a little now to avoid WW3!

And finally global warming doesn't mean any specific locale will get warmer. In fact global warming may well trigger a new ice age in Scandinavia!

I live in Sweden. We've had the warmest winters in a lot of years lately ("I'm dreaming of a white Christmas..."). How much has global warming contributed to that? IIRC a good estimate was ~10%.
