It is not for your little four flags, nor for the following 50 plus Puerto Rico from the States, it is that if the staff starts to add flags like that, we will arrive to have the flags of Contrade of Siena's Palio and that would be too much.
As I pointed out - Antarctica is a continent not a country yet it has been added.
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland compete in International competitions (Commonwealth Games) as independent nations but not here.
Adding these countries would be too much? What about these:
Bouvet Island British Indian Ocean Territory Cocos (Keeling) Islands Faroe Islands Guernsey Heard & MacDonald Islands Holy See (City Vatican State) Isle of Man Jersey Macau Monaco Montserrat (Did you know that 50% of the people of Montserrat live in Leicester – oh that’s in England by the way) Norfolk island Pitcairn Island St Helena US Minor Outlying Islands – gosh that’s an important one.
Guernsey and Jersey are part of the Channel Islands and as far as I knew were the same place. I’m sure I’ll be corrected if I’m wrong. If I’m right it is like having Hong and Kong as two different places.
Without using an atlas how many of the above places can you honestly state you know where they are? Population? – as for some of them do they actually have a population?
Puerto Rico should be added as should England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Rather than excepting places and people we should be accepting them to make this a truly global site and so what if you have to add a dozen recognised countries? Better that than not.
Some things in life are important and a sense of belonging is important. I belong to this site, I would like to be accepted by it too.
