I must say that I enjoy a lot that people starts leagues as the one that we had us of the "Banda del Gobbo". About one month ago some Spanish tried and failed to organize such a league, and I considered that it was due to the fact that not everybody reads the forum. So I though that, to organize such a thing, you should use a more direct way to contact the candidates such us opening challenge games, a common way to talk among YouPlayers, or sending e-mails to them.
