Skygee only has 6 pts of fuselage left, meaning it would not take much of a shot to knock him down.
As mentioned, he cannot go "fast" any more, which limits his options. He is down 2 against 1, with not much airplane left, about to be "trapped" in the corner, and he just had the happy event of getting a zero range shot at the plane which was the leader at the time and shooting him down.
While I can't expect the system to automatically factor all of those things, if I were judging the game, I would call this "retire with honor" myself.
It's pretty unreasonable to think he HAS to stick around with all those factors. |
