I will let everyone know if I do something like that. I seem to remember a discussion about this many years ago. When I do purge the DB its for players that haven't logged in for years. It also searches for their games, but checks the games to ensure that no currently active players played it. If so, it doesn't do anything and moves on to the next. It takes a while to run. Haven't needed to do it in a while, but might soon.

Work so far has been on security updates. Java was brought up to 2026 standards. From version 7 to V 26. That needed a lot of attention so nothing broke. The more fragile item is/was all the SQL injection surfaces. The major ones are taken care of, now I'm working on the highly unlikely ones that would just cause an irritating performance or crash rather than an exfiltration of data. I haven't said anything about these for obvious reasons. But we are nearly 'modernized' inside the code. Once this is complete, I can start working on the fun stuff, like the tailing 'bug'. Ballon busting missions. I really want to add Altitude somehow, but haven't even begun to consider how to code it.

Was up last night struggling to get a certain tricky piece to run, (maybe you caught the site during that time?) and then saw your message and was wtf?

I don't like the "new" statistics page at all, I prefer the old one you have to click through to get through. So one item is to make that even cooler than just numbers. I have a MS in Business Analytics, so kinda like data and ways to show it.

Bottom line, don't hesitate to point out something that is broken! But it's just me. I try to test all parts of the site when I do something, but I could easily miss something.

Unfortunately, I have to test many of the current work in live, but once I'm able to start on new stuff, I'll revive the Beta site for both BlueMax and WS&IM.

A new post will go up with the list of things to do in a few weeks or so.

I'll use Facebook to get feedback and such. This forum isn't so great for that. (another thing on the list).

Just realize that my reason for doing this is so that players Have Fun!
